Bless Jehovah, my soul.{HR}Jehovah my God, thou art very great.{HR}Honour and majesty hast thou put on,

Wearing light as the robe,{HR}Spreading heavens as the curtains;
3
Who frameth his chambers in the waters,{HR}Who maketh clouds his chariot (vehicle),{HR}Who walketh on wings of wind;
4
Making his angels spirits,{HR}His ministers a flaming fire.

He founded earth on its bases:{HR}It shall not be removed ever and ever.

With the deep as the garment thou didst cover it;{HR}Upon the mountains stood waters;
7
At thy rebuke they fled,{HR}At the voice of thy thunder they hasted away.

Mountains rose, valleys sank,{HR}Unto this place thou hast founded for them:

Thou hast set a bound that they may not pass,{HR}That they return not to cover the earth.

He sendeth springs into the valleys:{HR}Between mountains they walk:

They give drink to every beast of the field:{HR}Wild asses quench their thirst.

By them birds of the heavens dwell;{HR}From among branches they give voice.

He causeth to grow grass for the cattle{HR}And herb for the service of man,{HR}To bring forth bread from the earth;

And wine that gladdeneth man’s heart,{HR}To make [his] face shine with oil;{HR}And bread upholdeth man’s heart.

Satisfied are Jehovah’s trees,{HR}Cedars of Lebanon which he planted,

Where small birds nestle:{HR}[For] stork, firs [are] her house.

The high mountains [are] for the wild goats,{HR}Crags a refuge for the rock-badgers.

He made moon for seasons;{HR}Sun knoweth its down-going.
20
Thou settest darkness, and it is night,{HR}Wherein every beast of the forest moveth forth.

The young lions roar for the prey,{HR}And for seeking their food from God .
22
The sun ariseth,{HR}They retire and lie down in their lairs.

Man goeth forth unto his work{HR}And unto his service until evening.

How manifold are thy works, O Jehovah!{HR}In wisdom hast thou wrought them all:{HR}The earth is full of thy riches.

Yonder [is] the sea, great and wide,{HR}Moving things there and without number,{HR}Living creatures small and great:

There ships go,{HR}This leviathan thou hast made to play therein;
27
All of them wait on thee{HR}To give [them] their food in its season.

Thou givest to them, they gather;{HR}Thou openest thy hand,{HR}They are satisfied with good.

Thou hidest thy face, they are troubled;{HR}Thou withdrawest their breath,{HR}They expire and return to their dust.

Thou sendest thy spirit,{HR}They are created;{HR}And thou renewest the face of the ground.

Let Jehovah’s glory be forever;{HR}Let Jehovah rejoice in his works.

He looketh on the earth, and it trembleth;{HR}He toucheth mountains, and they smoke.

I will sing unto Jehovah while I live,{HR}I will sing psalms unto my God while I have being.

My meditation on him will be sweet;{HR}I will rejoice in Jehovah.

Sinners shall be consumed out of the earth,{HR}And wicked men shall be no more.{HR}Bless Jehovah, my soul. Praise ye Jah.
