GOD gives us a picture of a little lamb and He says, “Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.” John 1:2929The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. (John 1:29).
Jesus is that blessed Lamb that died for you and me. He is the One Who taketh away the sin of the world.
In Ex. 12:55Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats: (Exodus 12:5), a lamb was slain and its blood put on the door posts. In the thirteenth verse, God says, “When I see the blood, I will pass over you.” The Israelites were saved by the blood of the lamb. Their lives were spared, but all those who did not have the blood on the posts of the door, had an awful thing happen to them. The oldest child in every family died.
But we are saved forever by the blood of Christ. “In Whom we have redemption through His blood.” Col. 1:1414In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: (Colossians 1:14).
If we accept the Lord Jesus Christ as our personal Saviour we shall never die.
