GOD gives us a picture of a little lamb and He says, “Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.”
John 1:29
29
The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. (John 1:29)
.
Jesus is that blessed Lamb that died for you and me. He is the One Who taketh away the sin of the world.
In
Ex. 12:5
5
Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats: (Exodus 12:5)
, a lamb was slain and its blood put on the door posts. In the thirteenth verse, God says, “When I see the blood, I will pass over you.” The Israelites were saved by the blood of the lamb. Their lives were spared, but all those who did not have the blood on the posts of the door, had an awful thing happen to them. The oldest child in every family died.
But we are saved forever by the blood of Christ. “In Whom we have redemption through His blood.”
Col. 1:14
14
In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: (Colossians 1:14)
.
The blood of Jesus Christ, God’s Son, cleanseth us from all sin.
1 John 1:7
7
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. (1 John 1:7)
.
If we accept the Lord Jesus Christ as our personal Saviour we shall never die.
“I am the true vine,” says the Lord Jesus Christ. “I am the vine, ye are the branches: he that abideth in Me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit; for without Me ye can do nothing.”
John 15:1-5
1
I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
2
Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
3
Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
4
Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
5
I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. (John 15:1‑5)
