UNCLE ED has helped his nephews build a beautiful little house. Oh won’t the boys have a good time with it! He is holding it up to show to the boys and their friends. Everyone in the world is building. They are building with their works. Some are building on a foundation and some are not. People must build on the True Foundation if they want to build for God.
Some people think that they are building a beautiful temple for God by doing good deeds and living the best they can. But they can do nothing to please God if they are out of Christ. He must be our Saviour and Lord before we can build for God.
This little toy house is like so many people’s works, there is no foundation. Let us Christians take heed and build for God’s glory so that we may obtain rewards. “If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.” 1 Cor. 3:1414If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
