Things New and Old [Paperback]

About This Product

Each volume of Things New & Old is filled with a series of short and helpful articles. There’s a real mix of topics over the years and many topics were continued over many months. If you read a lot of ministry by C. H. Mackintosh and C. Stanley you will find that some of their books began as a series of articles in these periodicals. Volume 33 includes an interesting letter from Mosoul [Mosul?] in the east making it seem like today’s news. It actually contained several encouraging thoughts including a tidbit from Philippians 3. Then there’s a helpful article on the power of faith and prayer in times of difficulty. It shows among many other important points the importance of living practically close to God in order to have the proper confidence in Him.

These volumes have noticeably larger type and good contrast in comparison to the original bound volumes. If your eyes are tired at the end of a long day, you might find these editions a welcome help.

We have looked for the best copies of the original volumes of Things New and Old that we could find in preparing these editions. However, there are some pages that show minor speckling, oddly formed characters or (in a few cases) some shadowing on the inner part of the page. None of it makes the pages unreadable, but they don’t look freshly typeset either.
