There were "some good things found in him (Jehoshaphat)", but his snare was worldly association, and the lesson we learn from consideration of his history is to beware of that evil.
Jehoshaphat was a godly king of Judah with a true heart for Jehovah, and a desire to bring his subjects to the true worship of God, but his history was marred by frequently allying himself with the ungodly and idolatrous kings of Israel. The faithfulness of the Lord in chastening Jehoshaphat is very striking, and in not allowing him to be in a false position which practically denied the name of the Lord.
In this little booklet, "CHM" shows us how the history of Jehoshaphat is a lesson for believers today in the dangers of "world-bordering" and also in the faithfulness of the Lord in disciplining and delivering His people.
