To the chief musician, Al-tascheth ; a psalm of Asaph, a song.{HR}We give thanks to thee, O God,{HR}We give thanks, and near [is] thy name:{HR}Thy wonders declare [it].
When I shall reach the set time,{HR}I will judge uprightly.
The earth and all the inhabitants thereof are dissolved:{HR}I have established its pillars. Selah.
I said to the fools (boasters), Be not foolish,{HR}And to the wicked, Lift not up the horn.
Lift not up your horn on high,{HR}Speak not with arrogant neck.
For not from east,{HR}Nor from west,{HR}Nor from south [is] lifting up.
For God [is] judge;{HR}One he putteth down,{HR}And lifteth up another.
For in Jehovah’s hand [is] a cup,{HR}And the wine foameth, it is full of mixture.{HR}He poureth out of it: surely the dregs of it all{HR}The wicked of the earth shall drain (and) drink.
And for me I will declare forever,{HR}I will sing psalms to the God of Jacob.
And all the horns of the wicked will I cut off:{HR}The horns of the righteous shall be lifted up.
