While Here As a Pilgrim and Stranger I Roam

WHILE here as a pilgrim and stranger I roam,
I'm journeying on to my heavenly home,
And thankful am I to be kept by His grace,
Thus let it be on to the end of the race.
No strength of my own can I boast of while here,
But kept by His might I have nothing to fear;
His strong arms embrace me, He'll ne'er let me go,
Though many and fierce the attacks of the foe.
Then onward I journey, though rough be the road,
'Twill end before long in the glory of God;
And then in His presence, no longer to roam,
My pilgrimage ended, I shall be at HOME.
