There's a Man in the Glory of God

THERE'S a Man in the glory of God,
He's the One who once hung on the tree,
Who on earth was despised and unknown,
Yet the One every eye soon will see.
He's the One who in Bethlehem lay
As a babe in a manger so low,
Who could taste this world's sorrows and pains,
In the path which He traveled below.
He's the One who for sinners wast slain
On the cross upon Calvary's hill,
Who the sins of His people there bore
In obedience to God's holy will.
He's the One whom the grave could not hold,
Nor the power of death could retain,
Who is seated on high on the throne,
And the One who is coming again.
He's the One who will call His redeemed
To be with Him in glory so fair,
Who will call both the living and dead
To meet Him above in the air.
He's the One who will come with His own
In His power and glory to reign,
His foes then His footstool will be,
And all will submit to Him then.
