There Is Life in a Look at the Saviour Who Died

 •  1 min. read  •  grade level: 8

THERE is life in a look at the Saviour who died,
At the One who on Calvary bled,
In those hours of darkness forsaken of God,
Who is risen again from the dead.
There is life in a look for the sinner who feels,
That through sin he is lost and undone,
Who trusts in the blood of the One who was slain,
God's only, His co-equal Son.
The serpent of brass was for Israel raised,
And the moment they looked they were well,
So the one who, in faith, looks to Christ on the
cross,
Will be saved from the torments of hell.
Then to Him who for sinners on Calvary bled,
Let the sinner for mercy repair;
There is life everlasting for him who believes,
There's forgiveness and peace for him there.
Then tarry no longer, your chances are few,
Soon the end of your journey will come;
There is life in a look at the crucified One,
There is comfort, and rest, and a home.
