BETTIE Joanne is learning about the Bible. Her mother is telling her that it is the true Word of God and that it is written for us. “Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” Psa. 119:105.
“The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: but the Word of the Lord endureth forever.” 1 Peter 1:24, 25.
“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.” 2 Tim. 3:16.
“Prophecy came not of old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.” 2 Peter 1:21.
There is a secret about the Bible. A person must be born again in order to understand it for it is foolishness to those who are not born again. God’s things are spiritually discerned. 1 Cor. 2:14.
We must rightly divide the Bible, for it was written to three classes of people, the Jews, the Gentiles, and the Christians. We must give each the part that was written for them. It is all written for our learning and help to please God.
