• We know that our sins have been "forgiven" (Luke 24:47; Acts 2:38; 5:31; 10:43; 13:38; 26:18; Eph. 1:7; Col. 1:14; Heb. 9:22; I John 2:12), "put away" (Heb. 9:26) and "taken away" (1 John 3:5). Paul is not quoting this Psalm to show that our sins are covered, but to teach us what believing God's Word does. (“The Righteousness of Faith: Romans 4” by B. Anstey)
