He is not here: for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.
The disciples at the tomb of Jesus were puzzled that the grave was opened. But the messengers invited them to come in and see that the Lord was indeed gone. The tomb was empty. Jesus was alive again, just as He said He would be. What joyful news. The Messiah was not dead anymore. He had conquered death and won the victory over Satan.
