And when he opened the seventh seal, there was silence in the heaven about half an hour.

And I saw the seven angels who stand before God; and there were given to them seven trumpets.

And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given him much incense, that he should give efficacy to the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar that was before the throne.
4
And the smoke of the incense rose up with the prayers of the saints out of the angel’s hand before God.

And the angel took the censer and filled it with the fire of the altar and cast it unto the earth; and there were thunders and lightnings and voices and an earthquake.
6
And the seven angels that had the seven trumpets prepared themselves that they should sound.
7
And the first sounded; and there was hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast unto the earth; and the third of the earth was burnt up, and the third of the trees was burnt up, and all the green grass was burnt up.
8
And the second angel sounded; and as a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea; and the third of the sea became blood:

and the third of the creatures that were in the sea that had life died; and the third of the ships were destroyed.

And the third angel sounded; and there fell out of the heaven a great star burning as a torch, and it fell upon the third of the rivers and upon the fountains of the waters.

And the name of the star is called Wormwood; and the third of the waters became wormwood; and many of the men died of the waters because they were made bitter.
12
And the fourth angel sounded; and the third of the sun was smitten and the third of the moon and the third of the stars, that the third of them might be darkened, and the day should not shine for the third thereof and the night likewise.

And I saw, and I heard an eagle flying in mid-heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe to those that dwell on the earth from the rest of the voices of the trumpet of the three angels that are to sound!
