It is not "guile," but "lie" is the word.

The Edd. omit the words "before the throne of God"; they seem to have not one known Greek witness. They are added in our common Bible, but these last words ought not to be there. The best authorities leave them out: and a slight consideration will show how wrongly inserted they seem to be. The text with the added words "before the throne of God," could only be understood as being true of them as in Christ; but here the sense requires, if I mistake not, that it is their practical conduct.
