To the chief musician upon Nehiloth;{HR}A Psalm of David.{HR}Give ear unto my words, O Jehovah;{HR}Consider my meditation.
Hearken unto the voice of my cry for help,{HR}My King and my God;{HR}For unto thee will I pray.
O Jehovah, in the morning thou shalt hear my voice,{HR}In the morning will I set in order [my prayer] before thee{HR}And will look out [for help].
For thou art not a God delighting in wickedness:{HR}Evil dwelleth not with thee.
The proud shall not stand before thine eyes:{HR}Thou hatest all workers of iniquity.
Thou wilt destroy those that speak lies:{HR}A man of blood and deceit Jehovah abhorreth.
But as for me, in the greatness of thy mercy I will come into thy house,{HR}I will worship towards the temple of thy holiness in thy fear.
Lead me, O Jehovah, in thy righteousness,{HR}On account of mine enemies,{HR}Make thy way straight before me.
For there is nothing certain in his mouth;{HR}Their inward part [is] wickedness;{HR}An opened sepulchre [is] their throat;{HR}They make smooth their tongue.
Treat them as guilty, O God;{HR}They shall fall from their counsels;{HR}In the multitude of their transgressions cast them down;{HR}For they have rebelled against thee.
But all those who trust in thee shall rejoice;{HR}Forever shall they shout for joy,{HR}And thou wilt protect them,{HR}And those who love thy name shall exult in thee.
For thou, O Jehovah, wilt bless the righteous;{HR}Like the shield with favour thou wilt encompass him.
