• “Like a leech voracious of his food,” he never feeds to satiety. The two daughters are perhaps simply a symbolical way of declaring this characteristic of the blood-sucker of Arabia. But I have followed Prof. Noyes and Prof. Stuart in regarding the words “Give! Give!” as their names. The name is the index to their wretched habits. (“Proverbs Thirty” by H.A. Ironside)
