Listen from:
Benjy and his dad had gone to a restaurant for lunch, and now they were on their way to Sunday school. It was a beautiful sunny day, and they were enjoying their drive past the pretty golf course.
“Look at those golf carts, Benjy!” exclaimed his dad. “Are they ever fancy! Did you ever see golf carts with such pretty canopies over them? How would you like to have one of those for your birthday?”
“They’re really nice,” answered Benjy. “I would like to have one of those very much.” Benjy paused for a few minutes as they continued driving past the golf course and the motorized golf carts with their brightly colored tops rippling in the breeze. Then he said, “You know, Dad, the Lord Jesus has lots better presents for me than those. And it’s going to take me all eternity to unwrap them too.”
Even though Benjy was only a boy, he was already looking forward to heaven and what the Lord Jesus would have waiting for him up there. He knew the Lord Jesus was going to include him, because he had already admitted to Him that he was a sinner and had believed that the Lord Jesus had died for his sins, and now they were gone forever. Benjy knew for sure that someday he would be in heaven. Do you know for sure that you will be there? You can.
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life [in heaven].” John 3:1616For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
