Feeding the Pigs

Listen from:
Most of you children won’t know anything about pig slop. It’s what some farmers feed their pigs. It’s often made with grain soaked in water and sometimes it will include food scraps, like melon rinds and stale bread from the farmer’s kitchen. Pigs love all of it. It is often all mixed together in a bucket to be carried out to the pigs and poured into the feeding trough.
But Sage, one of the young girls in the farming family, didn’t use a bucket; she used a large bowl for mixing everything together. One day as she was carrying the bowl of pig slop out to the pigs, she got to thinking about how it reminded her of our hearts full of sin. But when she washed out the bowl, it became clean. And that’s just like Jesus washing away our sins to make our hearts clean. Here’s a Bible verse that tells us how we can be washed clean of every sin: “The blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin” (1 John 1:77But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. (1 John 1:7)).
Sage wants everyone reading this to know that the way of salvation is very important. Jesus loves you very much and wants to wash your sins away and make your heart clean, if you will ask Him. Will you do that now and become a follower of Him?
