 This is the shield, faith; that is to say, full and entire trust in God, the consciousness of grace and of His favor maintained in the heart. No; he took the “SHIELD OF FAITH,” and said, “Suppose that Satan were even to kill, it would not prove that God was against me—for He can raise me from the dead.
