Or, "in Jesus(your having put off . . . and being renewed . . . and having put on," etc. Some suppose that the truth in Jesus is, "that ye have put off, as concerns your former conversation, the old man . . . and have put on the new man," etc. (Vss. 22-24). The JND translation takes the version and connection to be, that the truth in Jesus is not exactly "that ye should," nor "that ye have," but "your having put off," etc. I have not, however, altered the rendering and the comment, which remain here as before. The reader can judge for himself.
