As a bird that wandereth from her nest, so is a man that wandereth from his place.
Proverb 27:8
The Lord has given each of us a responsibility of some kind in His Church. If we shirk our duty and go and do something else, then we are like the bird that wanders from her nest. The nest is a place of safety. There is no protection when the bird leaves the nest. So if we wander away from our responsibilities, we will be unprotected and could be in danger of outside attacks. Do the job that God has given you to do. He wants you to work for Him.
