Boyd’s Bible Dictionary:

“Collars” (Judg. 8:2626And the weight of the golden earrings that he requested was a thousand and seven hundred shekels of gold; beside ornaments, and collars, and purple raiment that was on the kings of Midian, and beside the chains that were about their camels' necks. (Judges 8:26)), and “chains” (Isa. 3:1919The chains, and the bracelets, and the mufflers, (Isaiah 3:19)), should be “ear-drops.”

Concise Bible Dictionary:

A jewel or appendage (Judg. 8:2626And the weight of the golden earrings that he requested was a thousand and seven hundred shekels of gold; beside ornaments, and collars, and purple raiment that was on the kings of Midian, and beside the chains that were about their camels' necks. (Judges 8:26)). In the margin it is “sweet jewels.” The RV has “pendants.” The same word is translated “chains” in Isaiah 3:1919The chains, and the bracelets, and the mufflers, (Isaiah 3:19). In Job 30:1818By the great force of my disease is my garment changed: it bindeth me about as the collar of my coat. (Job 30:18) it is merely the collar of a coat: the mouth or opening for the throat.
