Where Is Ronnie?

Listen from:
“RONNIE, IT’S LUNCH TIME. COME ON IN AND WASH YOUR HANDS,” his mother called out the back door. Ronnie didn’t answer. She called again, but still there was no answer from Ronnie. His mother said to herself, “Where can Ronnie be?”
Ronnie was three years old and lived on a farm with his parents. Their farm was so large that their nearest neighbor’s house could not be seen through the forest of trees. Since Ronnie didn’t have any brothers or sisters or other playmates nearby to play with, he played out in the yard with the kittens and chickens and sometimes even with the little pigs.
Every day at noon his mother would call him to come into the house for lunch. Ronnie always answered and came when she called. But this day he did not answer and He did not come. So his mother called even louder again and again, but still Ronnie did not answer or come. Now she was getting worried.
Boys and girls, if the Lord Jesus should come today and call all the people whose sins are washed away to His home in heaven, would you hear His call and go with Him to heaven? If your sins are gone, the answer is “YES!” You would hear His call and He would take you to His happy home in heaven. But what if you have never asked the Lord Jesus to wash your sins away? You would not hear His call, and you would be left behind. That would be very, very sad.
Ronnie’s worried mother looked all over the yard for him. When she didn’t find him, she looked in the barn and grain buildings, but he was not in any of them. Finally she opened the large, heavy door into the chicken house building. There she found Ronnie playing with the chickens! Oh, she was so thankful and happy to have found him!
But how had Ronnie gotten into the chicken house? He couldn’t open the large, heavy door by himself. When his mother asked him, he showed her the little hatch door that the chickens use to go in and out. He had crawled in through that little door—he had found another way to get into the chicken house.
Boys and girls, heaven has only one door for people to enter, and that door is Jesus. He said, “I am the door: by Me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture” (John 10:99I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. (John 10:9)). He also said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me” (John 14:66Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (John 14:6)). There is no other secret door or back door to enter heaven. We can only enter heaven if we belong to Jesus—He is the door!
One day soon the Lord Jesus will come from heaven and give a shout to call all His people home to heaven. Only the people whose sins are washed away will hear that shout and will go to live in heaven with Him. He loves you and wants you to come too.
Will you hear His shout? Are your sins washed away? Don’t be left behind.
MEMORY VERSE: “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.” John 14:66Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (John 14:6)
