Zealots

Boyd’s Bible Dictionary:

(zealous). Name of a fanatical Jewish party, strongest from A. D. 6 to 70. It was political, having for its aim the overthrow of Roman authority; and religious, seeking a Jewish theocracy over the whole earth. In Acts 5:3737After this man rose up Judas of Galilee in the days of the taxing, and drew away much people after him: he also perished; and all, even as many as obeyed him, were dispersed. (Acts 5:37) it seems to have been headed by one Judas of Galilee.
