Who are the ones Jesus came to save?

“Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners.” 1 Timothy 1:15¹⁵This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief. (1 Timothy 1:15).

For whom did Christ die? “While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8⁸But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8)).

What kind of people does Christ receive? “This man receiveth sinners, and eateth with them.” Luke 15:2²And the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying, This man receiveth sinners, and eateth with them. (Luke 15:2). Can you truthfully say, I take the guilty sinner’s name, The guilty sinner’s Saviour claim? If you can, then your name is written in God’s Book.
