Why Am I Not a Christian?

Listen from:
Is it because I am afraid of ridicule? “Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of Me, and of My words, ... ..of him also shall the Son of Man be ashamed.” Mark 8:3838Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels. (Mark 8:38).
Is it because of the inconsistencies of professing Christians?
“Every one of us shall give account of himself to God.” Romans 14:1212So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God. (Romans 14:12).
Am I not willing to give up all to Christ?
“What shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” Mark 8:3636For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? (Mark 8:36).
Am I afraid that I shall not be accepted?
Is it that I fear I am too great a sinner?
Is it because I fear I shall not “hold out?”
Am I thinking that I will, do as well as I can, and that God ought to be satisfied with that?
“Whosoever shall keep the whole law and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.” James 2:1010For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. (James 2:10).
Is it because I am postponing the matter, without any definite reason?
“Boast not thyself of tomorrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.” Proverbs 27:11Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth. (Proverbs 27:1).
