What Can I Bring to God?

Listen from:
A little one I am,
What can I bring to God?
Can I bring lovely fruits and flowers
Up to His high abode?
Not these, my child.
O what, then, can I bring—
The labors of my hands?
For surely one who bringeth these
Loved and accepted stands;
Not so, my child.
No fruits or flowers avail
To please the Holy God;
Remission is by blood alone—
The Saviour’s precious blood;
‘Tis this, my child.
No labor of your hands
For sin can e’er atone;
The Bible says salvation is
By faith in Christ alone;
Not works, my child.
Believe what God declares,
Believe in Christ and live,
For all who trust His precious blood
Eternal life receive.
Believe, my child.
