Let them turn every one from his evil way, and from the violence that is in their hands.
Recently, near our home, two young criminals kidnapped their police escort, drove 50 miles, handcuffed him to a tree, and stole his car with his guns. The 19-year-old wanted to shoot the deputy, but the other man, age 24, wouldn’t let him. A friend of mine, who at one time worked for the police department, told me that a teenager is much more dangerous when armed than an older person. He said they see so much violence and killing on TV by those who get away with it that they won’t think twice about killing someone themselves. If we entertain ourselves by watching violence, we too will be influenced by it. Following today’s verse is very important.
