Where do the hands of your clock point at noon? “Up,” you say. That’s right, “Upward at noon!”
I wonder, do you ever think of lifting up your heart to God in prayer at noon? Don’t you think the upward pointing hands of the clock are a good reminder? The lifting up of hands is connected with praying in the Bible. David said, “At noon will I pray.” It is written of Daniel that he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God. “He heareth us.” 1 John 5:1414And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: (1 John 5:14).
