This classic tale of bitterness, alienation and eventually forgiveness has been a favorite for many years. Follow proud Annette and hated Lucien as they both learn repentance and forgiveness. No doubt all of us have something to learn in this story for children.
I well-remember enjoying this story as a child. Yesterday I purchased the cassette version (about 6½ hours of listening) to use with our son on our coming summer trip. It only takes a few minutes to get caught up in whether Dani’s leg will ever heal, whether Annette will learn not to hate Lucien or whether Lucien will find peace and acceptance. It all makes for many hours of wholesome family time with serious spiritual lessons.
The voice quality (with a pleasant British accent) on this audio edition is excellent. Though read by only one voice the expression given to this professionally produced story is very well done.
