The Speaking Card

Listen from:
A friend of mine in Philadelphia was going past a drinking saloon one night, when he saw a professing Christian inside who was playing cards. He took a pencil, wrote on a card, and seeing a little boy, said: "My boy, here is some money. I want you to do an errand for me. You see that man at the table where those three are playing cards?"
"Yes I do."
"Well," said my friend, "just take that card to him."
My friend watched the boy as he handed the card to the card player. On the card was written, "You are my witnesses."
The man looked at it, sprang to his feet, and rushing out into the street asked the boy where the card had come from. The boy said, "A man over there gave it to me."
But by that time my friend had slipped away. Remember the lesson of this story "You are my witnesses." Our behavior should show Christ wherever we are.
