Listen from:
IN a certain town in England there is a large children's orphanage. The knocker on the door is not in the usual place, high up near the top of the door, but it is very low down so that the little ones can reach it. To use the illustration, the knocker on God's door of mercy is very low down. Then "knock, and it shall be opened unto you," Matt. 7:77Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: (Matthew 7:7).
Even the very youngest can sing:
Gentle Jesus, meek and mild,
Look upon a little child: Pity my simplicity:
Suffer me to come to Thee.
Fain I would to Thee be brought:
Gracious Lord, forbid it not;
In the kingdom of Thy grace,
Give a little child a place.
O supply my every need;
Help me, Lord, Thy word to heed;
Day and night my Keeper be,
Ever watchful over me.
