(1 Timothy 3:16) Peter 2:24; 2 Corinthians 5:21²¹For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. (2 Corinthians 5:21)

Dr. Andrew Bonar once said that, although it was a mystery to him how sin should have come into the world, it was still a greater mystery how God in the person of Jesus Christ should have come here to bear the penalty of it Himself.
