But Mary stood without at the sepulcher weeping: and as she wept, she stooped down, and looked into the sepulcher.
And what did she see? Two angels, not the Lord. Her tears continued - angels were not what she was looking for. Someone had taken her Saviour. She hears a voice behind her. She hears some questions but she didn’t recognize who spoke to her until she heard, “Mary!” She turns - and sees the Lord Jesus. Her response? “Rabboni!” which means, “My great Master!” She had found Him! The garden of rest had become the garden of resurrection. Jesus was ALIVE. Joy returns. Jesus had conquered sin, the grave, and Satan. He is indeed our great Master. Rabboni!
