The Conversion of a Young Girl

Listen from:
I was very much concerned about my soul for a long time, as I knew from my earliest years that I needed to be saved, but the Devil always hushed me to sleep when I thought about it. Still the Spirit of God strove with me and I knew that I was not saved.
One night as I rose from my knees, after praying before going to bed, the Spirit of God spoke to me again. As I lay, and thought over several familiar texts, I know that the only way to be saved was to accept Christ as my Saviour.
Shortly after this I was brought to the knowledge of my sins forgiven. I really wanted to be saved. So I lifted a book called, “The Homeward Journey,” which puts the Gospel very plainly. I remember I stopped reading, and this verse came into my mind,
I there and then came to Christ, and accepted Him as my Saviour, and found that He did the keeping, as well as the saving, when I trusted Him.
“Now unto Him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory, with exceeding joy, to the only wise God our Saviour, be glory, and majesty, dominion, and power, both now, and ever. Amen.” Jude 24, 2524Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, 25To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen. (Jude 24‑25). I knew I was saved, because it is written:
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on Him, should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:1616For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16).
I then had a threefold assurance from God’s Word that I was saved.
(1)“The Blood of Jesus Christ, His (God’s) Son cleanseth us from all sin” John 1:77The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. (John 1:7).
(2)“Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that heareth My word, and believeth on Him that sent Me, hath everlasting life, end shall not come into condemnation, but is passed from death unto life:” John 5:2424Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. (John 5:24).
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
