"If the blood of goats and bulls and a heifer's ashes sprinkling the defiled sanctifieth for the purity of the flesh, by how much rather shall the blood of the Christ, who by the eternal Spirit offered Himself spotless to God, purify your conscience from dead works to serve [or, worship] a living God?" Hebrews 9:13-14¹³For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: ¹⁴How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? (Hebrews 9:13‑14)
