Daniel Webster, the famous American politician and orator, once spent a summer in New Hampshire. Every Lord’s Day he attended some meetings in a hall nearby.
His niece asked him one day, why he went there, when he paid little attention to far abler sermons in Washington. He replied,
“In Washington they preach to Daniel Webster, the statesman, but this man has been telling Daniel Webster, the sinner, of Jesus of Nazareth.”
“Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead ... . Neither is there salvation in any other for there is none other Name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” Acts 4:10, 1210Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. (Acts 4:10)
12Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. (Acts 4:12).
