(lofty). (1) An ancient name of Mount Hermon (Deut. 4:4848From Aroer, which is by the bank of the river Arnon, even unto mount Sion, which is Hermon, (Deuteronomy 4:48)). (2) Greek form of Zion (Matt. 21:55Tell ye the daughter of Sion, Behold, thy King cometh unto thee, meek, and sitting upon an ass, and a colt the foal of an ass. (Matthew 21:5); John 12:1515Fear not, daughter of Sion: behold, thy King cometh, sitting on an ass's colt.
