¹⁷Yo sé, Dios mío, que tú escudriñas los corazones, y que la rectitud te agrada: por eso yo con rectitud de mi corazón voluntariamente te he ofrecido todo esto, y ahora he visto con alegría que tu pueblo, que aquí se ha hallado ahora, ha dado para ti espontáneamente.
¹⁸Jehová, Dios de Abraham, de Isaac, y de Israel, nuestros padres, conserva perpetuamente esta voluntad del corazón de tu pueblo, y encamina su corazón á ti.

• Psalms 111 and 112, are both alphabetical psalms. The twenty-two letters of the Hebrew alphabet mark, in regular order, the beginning of the clauses. (“Psalms 111” by H. Smith)

• Psalms 111 is the first of a group of three psalms each beginning with a Hallelujah, or “Praise ye the Lord.” The first celebrates Jehovah’s works and ways; the second celebrates the blessing of His people; the third the glory of His Name. (“Psalms 111” by H. Smith)

• With the Millennium having now begun, Psalm 111 echoes a Hallelujah for the “works” (mentioned many times) of Jehovah through which His providential power has been exercised in the accomplishment of all the promises of His covenant to restore Israel. (“Book 5.” by B. Anstey)

• Psa. 110, presents Christ in exaltation, as a priest after the order of Melchizedek. Psa. 111 opens with presenting Christ exercising this priesthood and leading the praise to God in the midst of the congregation of His people. When He leads the praise it will be whole-hearted. • In a vast number of the psalms of this last book, the present intervention of judgment and power is so contemplated that instructions for the trials of the way are less to be looked for. It is the case in this psalm. It raises, anticipatively no doubt, its hallelujah for the works of God. Only this is to be remarked, and so always, that these works of deliverance are always conformable to, and founded on, and make good, the truth of God's character.
