Saint

Every believer is a saint. This word does not refer to any attainment whatever, but simply expresses that the believer is “holy,” “separated,” “set apart,” “sanctified” by the call of God (1 Cor. 1:22Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours: (1 Corinthians 1:2), &c.). Hence it is no assumption to take the name of “saint.”
