1. Son of Simon, the Cyrenian, who was compelled to bear the Lord’s cross (Mark 15:21²¹And they compel one Simon a Cyrenian, who passed by, coming out of the country, the father of Alexander and Rufus, to bear his cross. (Mark 15:21)).

2. A believer in Rome to whom Paul sent a salutation (Rom. 16:13¹³Salute Rufus chosen in the Lord, and his mother and mine. (Romans 16:13)). Possibly the same as No. 1.
