It is necessary that we should all bear in mind, if we have not observed it before, that Revelation 17 does not pursue the chronological course of the prophecy. It is a description, and not one of the visions that carry us onward. The seventh bowl contained under it the fall of Babylon, which “was remembered before God, to give to her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of His wrath.”
