WK Translation Notes

a
The T. R. has "It is done", or it may be as some MSS. have "they are done," or "I am become," connecting it with the following phrase as other MSS have it. Yet this best supported reading which the Complutensian edition adopted is intrinsically the worst. The first seems to be only formed by Erasmus according to the Vulgate. The second appears to be right, "they are done."
b
The insertion of "him" after "give" in some MSS. is scarce felt in translation.
