God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way.
In Jonah’s day the city of Nineveh, from the king down to the lowliest servant, repented and turned to God in response to the preaching of the prophet Jonah. God spared judgment at that time. Today the great majority have no time, belief or respect for God and we see little repentance. Paul wrote that “evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse.” God is about to judge the world with catastrophe upon catastrophe. And in spite of it all, it is recorded in Revelation, “They repented not.” If you are away from God, turn to Him in repentance today.
