(record keeper). The high and responsible office of annalist and royal counselor in the Hebrew state (2 Sam. 8:16; 20:24¹⁶And Joab the son of Zeruiah was over the host; and Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud was recorder; (2 Samuel 8:16)
