I have set thee over all the land of Egypt.
Joseph’s God-given ability to interpret dreams, an ability that Joseph gave God the glory for, saved Egypt from dying of starvation in a terrible famine. Joseph is promoted to the highest position in the land, one which he retained for the rest of his life. The Lord Jesus Christ has also been given “a name which is above every name: that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow . . . and . . . every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” What a beautiful picture Joseph is of our Lord Jesus.
