Real people have been used to carry the message of this book. As many of them are still alive today, a few events have been altered and names and places changed, protecting the privacy of those involved and connecting the passage of years. The memories of many years have been condensed into a short span of time, and to avoid confusion, a composite of two persons has been used in a few places.
However, most of the experiences happened just as they are told here. The Lord's actual workings in hearts and lives has been related as accurately as possible, as seen by the author and by those who have contributed their thoughts and memories to the story.
I wish to thank the many who helped in preparing this book, and am particularly indebted to three brothers in the Lord who contributed the outlines and thoughts on Scripture, including the editing of the conversations with Aunt Sarah.
