The plain region of Mesopotamia (Gen. 24:10; 25:20; 28:2-7; 31:18; 33:18; 35:9-26; 46:1510And the servant took ten camels of the camels of his master, and departed; for all the goods of his master were in his hand: and he arose, and went to Mesopotamia, unto the city of Nahor. (Genesis 46:15)). It is strictly Paddan-aram, signifying “table land of Aram.” Mesopotamia is the translation of Padan-aram both in the LXX and the Vulgate. In Genesis 48:77And as for me, when I came from Padan, Rachel died by me in the land of Canaan in the way, when yet there was but a little way to come unto Ephrath: and I buried her there in the way of Ephrath; the same is Bethlehem. (Genesis 48:7) it is simply PADAN.
