ABSALOM

(Father of Peace)

JESUS

God has given Him a name which is above every name. (Phil. 2:9⁹Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: (Philippians 2:9).)

(2 Samuel 18:18))

Firstborn-heir to the throne (Rom. 8:29²⁹For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. (Romans 8:29); Col. 1:13¹³Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: (Colossians 1:13))

No beauty that we should desire Him (Isa. 53:2²For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. (Isaiah 53:2))

Obedient (Heb. 5:8⁸Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; (Hebrews 5:8))

Hung on the cross

Died for the sins of the world

Laid Him in a sepulcher

Many sons (Heb. 2:10¹⁰For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. (Hebrews 2:10))
