At the time we speak of, we find that in that day a fountain shall be opened for all sin and uncleanness for this “House of David,” so long noted for its unfaithfulness, which had been the chief cause of the ruin of the nation. (Comp. Zech. 13:1¹In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness. (Zechariah 13:1).)
